How It Works

To Complete your Gather request, please follow these steps.

You will receive an email from noreply@safesendreturns.com

Click the ‘Let’s Get Started’ blue button.
Click Send Code to generate an access code. This code will be delivered to your email address or mobile device.
Once you have requested the access code and entered it, you will be able to do the following:
- Answer the custom questionnaire (if applicable).
- Fill out your tax organizer.
- Upload tax documents.
- View your progress step by step. Once you complete a step, click next.
- Once all steps have been completed and all tax documents have been uploaded, click Finish. We will receive a notification to start preparing your tax return.

Which files can I upload?

You can upload .pdf, .doc, .xls, .txt, .png, .jpeg, QBX, QBY, QBA, and QBB files. Only PDF and image files go through document recognition with Gather.

Can I edit an organizer after it's been submitted as complete?

Yes. Please contact us and we will reopen your organizer.

I forgot to upload some files. Can I add additional documents?

Once you mark the document upload as complete, additional documents cannot be uploaded. Please contact us and we will reopen your organizer.

Why are the options to get started, fill and sign grayed out?

This indicates that your spouse must sign the engagement letter before you can continue.

What if I'm missing documents that will be ready later in the year?

Please mark your Gather request finished. Email your A&A contact with the estimated timeline on your missing items.

When will Atchley & Associates start working on my return?

A&A will not begin your return until you have marked your Gather finished.

Can I use my phone to complete my Gather request?

You can partially complete your Gather request on a mobile phone. You can sign and upload documents, but you cannot complete the questionnaire or fill out the organizer. For further information, please visit Gather on Mobile.

Can I use my tablet to complete my Gather request?

You can complete your Gather request on a tablet, including signing, completing the questionnaire, filling out the organizer, and uploading documents.
